The Problem We Solved
RentEra needed a public presence before tenants would ever open the app — a place to explain the business, get discovered in search, and host the privacy policy and terms of service that both the lease and payment flows depend on. It also needed a reliable place to actually run payment checkouts, since not every rent authorization or bill payment happens inside the mobile app.
The Complexity — Marketing Site and Payment Gateway in One
The site had to do two very different jobs at once: read as a credible, SEO-friendly marketing presence that attracts tenants and builds trust, while also hosting production-grade Helcim checkout pages that securely process real rent and bill payments — with the compliance pages both the lease and payment flows require.

The Solution — Next.js Site With an Embedded Payment Gateway
We built the site on Next.js with server-side rendering for fast loads and strong SEO. Helcim checkout pages are wired directly into the site for rent authorization and bill payments, so a payment can be completed from a browser as reliably as from the app. Deployed on Vercel with edge caching and automatic HTTPS.

How We Made It Simple
Visitors follow one path: learn about RentEra, and either apply as a tenant or complete a payment — no separate portal, no separate login for a one-time bill payment. The same site that builds the brand is the site that gets a payment done.
